With social media ruling our life we are connected with everyone all the time. You know what is going on in everyone's life and vice versa. Social media has made this world a smaller place, it is great to be on the sidelines cheering for everyone but it has also lead to FOMO.

The Fear of Missing out is a social anxiety that is felt when someone believes that others are having fun without him/her. There is an anxiety that comes with social media that prevents you from being happy in the present. Enjoying the moment without a phone in your face ready to capture the moment is a rare thing.

We are so connected with the world that now we have trouble spending some time alone with ourselves. If you have a phone on you then you can never be alone. We whip out our phones so fast at the thought of spending a few minutes alone with our thoughts, dreams, and hopes.

You need to get away from all these mediums to know yourself, to spend some time in solitude. Disconnecting with the world is a hard but important task that one must do.
